In 1954 Len Tuckwell founded L.E. Tuckwell Limited, a family owned and managed farming company based in Worlingworth, Suffolk. The company soon expanded in to both farm contracting and also into the production of liquid fertilisers. During 1967 L. E. Tuckwell were proud to become one of the first John Deere dealers within Great Britain, and they also became the first UK dealer to sell over £1,000,000 worth of John Deere products.
Being a family business it wasn't long before Paul Tuckwell, Len's son, opened his own dealership at Ardleigh, Essex under the name of P. Tuckwell Limited and this dealership expanded with the opening of Greenworld, the groundscare division during 1986.
In November 2001, P.Tuckwell Ltd expanded further into Essex by purchasing part of another well established John Deere dealer and then incorporating these has become a prominent dealership within the South East, all operating under the name P. Tuckwell Limited, selling the complete range of John Deere products.
